How does it work?
EFT tapping is a technique whereby you tap on acupuncture points on the face and body as a way of releasing stress, anxiety and negative beliefs. By addressing the negative emotion or belief and working through an associated event, the process creates a neurofeedback to the brain which will clear and dimmish old patterns of learnt behaviour and emotion. It is actually found to be an evidence-based practice for anxiety, depression, phobias and is used in the US military and the UK’s NHS.
EFT is gentle and fast working. I will guide you through a session step by step using a number of techniques tailored to meet you where you are at, what is going on with how you are feeling.
Issues which previously caused you stress will clear to allow you feel calm, relaxed and at ease. While tapping on the selected points, we also say words that are related to whatever is bothering you so it is both a physical and a talking therapy.
After one session you will feel calm and at ease. To fully process an issue, belief, trauma or phobia, a number of sessions maybe necessary to do the work.
