Facial Rejuvenation

Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture, involves superficially placing very fine, sterile needles into acupuncture points on the face to increase blood circulation to the area, thereby increasing oxygen and vitamin nourishment to the tissues and stimulating collagen. Cosmetic acupuncture treats holistically by also treating the underlying causes of why an individual is specifically showing their age. The effects are far more profound than simply improving one’s appearance.

For many people, the younger they look, the better they feel about themselves. However, age is an unstoppable process and as the body grows older so does the skin; consequently its appearance and characteristics change.

Age, hormones, sun exposure and smoking can all cause fine lines and wrinkles to develop; skin feels more fragile and less elastic.

As we age the hyaluronic acid content of our skin, which is important for water retention, decreases. Oil producing glands become less active and your skin becomes drier. The skin loses fat, so it looks less plump and smooth and because the number of blood vessels in the skin decreases. The skin also loses its youthful colour and glow.

While all these changes are taking place gravity is also at work, pulling the skin and causing it to sag.

Facial Cupping

If you really would prefer no needles then Facial Cupping is the treatment for you. This involves using small suction cups to lift and massage the skin whilst draining toxins through the lymphatic system. Collagen will be stimulated, lines reduced, skin lifted and you will have that beautiful natural rosy youthful glow.

Facial cupping has so many benefits. It can be used for:

Contraindications
Facial cupping is contraindicated for the following skin conditions when in acute, ruptured, bleeding, or inflamed stages: Eczema, Rosacea, Psoriasis, Shingles, Hives, Acne, Skin Cancer.

Botox and fillers can be dissipated.

Cupping is contraindicated for those with liver or kidney functional illnesses.
